Rolling Green Golf Pro Braden Shattuck Earns Spot in Next Week’s PGA Championship at Aronimink

Aston native and Rolling Green Golf Club instructor Braden Shattuck has qualified to play in the May PGA Championship.

Braden Shattuck, an Aston native and a club professional at Rolling Green Golf Club, made the PGA Championship cut and will be one of 20 PGA of America club golf professionals playing in the tournament at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square.

Shattluck scored one of the last spots after qualifying from a tournament in Oregon this week, writes Nick Kaniuki for Billy Penn at WHYY.

He’s the director of instruction at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield Township and a four-time Philadelphia PGA Player of the Year.

In the Oregon 2026 PGA Professional Championship on Wednesday, he tied for eighth, competing against over 300 PGA of America golfers nationwide.

That qualified him for a spot on the Corebridge Financial Team, the 20 PGA of America club golf professionals who get to play at Aronimink for the Championship.

This is his third-straight PGA Championship appearance.

His golf career nearly ended following a car accident in March 2019, when he suffered two herniated discs in his lower spine that made it difficult for him even to walk.

He took a two-year sabbatical, altered his swing, and was able to get back to competing among the best golfers worldwide.
