Two-time Oscar winner Ben Affleck capped off a tour of Swarthmore College on Friday with his 17-year-old child, Fin, by getting a bite to eat at Luna’s Mexican Grill in Swarthmore, writes Earl Hopkins for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Restaurant owner Cristina Luna Ramirez was able to sneak in a selfie with Affleck during his visit, after being alerted he was at the restaurant by a “frantic call” from server Hailey Blum.
Initially believing it was a prank, Ramirez was finally convinced enough to drive from South Philly to the restaurant.
Unfortunately, Affleck had left three minutes prior to her arrival.
Ramirez walked down the block to a nearby Dunkin’ Donuts and spotted the 6-foot-4 actor near the front counter.
He agreed to pose for a selfie, which she posted to Instagram.
“When Ben Affleck pulls up to Luna’s … you casually play it cool … then immediately freak out after,” Ramirez wrote in the caption
Blum started shaking when she realized it was Affleck in the restaurant.
“I knew I had to give the best service of my life. No room for error here.”
Affleck and Fin described Swarthmore College as “cute and charming,” Blum said.
