Former NBC Sports Philadelphia Reporter Taryn Hatcher Lands New Gig After Phillies Departure

Former Phillies in-stadium reporter for NBC, Taryn Hatcher, is now covering the The CW covering the Professional Bowlers Association for The CW.

The 2026 Phillies season is underway, but over at NBC Sports Philadelphia, a familiar face is missing, writes Rob Tornoe for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Taryn Hatcher joined the network in 2019 and has been an in-stadium reporter for the past few seasons.

This year, the network opted not to renew her contract and eliminated her position.

“While the news was pretty heartbreaking, I have to acknowledge that it was a really fun run,” Hatcher wrote on social media last month. “I loved every second of it.”

The reporter has kept a low profile and revealed on Instagram that she’s dealing with “a little bit of a health situation” that isn’t “dire,” but it has led her to turn down some TV roles, including a full-time role as an MLB sideline reporter for an “incredible franchise.

She did pick up a gig at The CW as part of a broadcast team for the Professional Bowlers Association. Hatcher is again a reporter, interviewing excited bowlers.

The broadcast team includes former NASCAR lead announcer Rick Allen and former professional bowler Kyle Sherman.

“I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s been so much more fun than I could’ve anticipated,” Hatcher said.
