Rahel Solomon, CNN Anchor and Delco Native, Is Leaving the Network

Delaware County native Rahel Solomon, anchor of CNN’s Early Start is leaving the network after four years.

Archbishop Prendergast graduate and Delaware County native Rahel Solomon is leaving her position at CNN as an early morning program anchor, writes Jeff Blumenthal for Philadelphia Business Journal.  

“I have decided that this will be my last week at CNN,” Solomon said before signing off from “Early Start with Rahel Solomon.”

“More to come on what’s next for me, but I’m really excited about this next chapter.”

Solomon started at CNN as a business correspondent four years ago. She came to the network in 2022 and has been anchoring “Early Start” since March 2025.

The 2010 Prendie graduate is a former CBS3 anchor.

As a business reporter for CNN, she covered pivotal economic events, such as the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decisions, and consumer issues such as housing affordability, mortgage rates, and labor markets.

CNN said it was supportive of her decision and, in a statement, wished her “all the best in her next chapter.”

Solomon came to CNN from CNBC, where she worked as a general news reporter

She worked at CBS (KYW-TV) from 2015 to 2019, first as a reporter and anchor before teaming with the recently retired Jim Donovan as co-anchor.
