Workforce Education and Clinical Practice Manager

Dunwoody Village is seeking a Workforce Education and Clinical Practice Manager to develop, coordinate, and oversee a comprehensive campus-wide education, competency, and regulatory training program for all departments (clinical and non-clinical).

The candidate will ensure every department has an orientation plan, role-specific competency screening at hire, and annual competency validation.

He or she ensures that education requirements are met for DOH, DHS, CMS, OSHA, CDC, and other applicable agencies.

They serve as the campus Infection Control Practitioner / Preventionist, EMR Super User, and lead trainer for new medical equipment.

They coordinate and track employee vaccines and occupational health screening records, provide CPR training, monitor CPR certifications, complete monthly infection control and education audits, and participate in Emergency Management planning as well as Risk and Compliance committees.

How you will make an impact

  • Oversee all aspects of the employee training program throughout the community. This includes using/administering the Relias education program, developing custom trainings specific to Dunwoody Village, and providing hands-on training as needed.
  • Works closely with the Leadership Team, Management, Team, Safety Committee, and Human Resources to ensure that all new staff members are oriented into the Dunwoody Village community and trained appropriately upon hire and annually to ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Trains staff on new policies, procedures, and equipment on an ongoing basis.
  • Serves as the community Infection Preventionist.
  • Foster a culture of excellence by demonstrating technical and management proficiency, initiative, and leadership aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Dunwoody Village.

What you will need

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing practice in a long-term care, senior living, or related healthcare setting.
  • Must have an Associate Degree in Nursing (required).
  • PA State Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
  • 2+ years of teaching experience in long-term care and hospital experience.
  • Experience in staff development, workforce education, infection prevention, quality improvement, or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience developing and delivering education and competency programs.
  • Teaching or training experience in long-term care or healthcare settings.
  • CPR Instructor certification required or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe.
  • Infection Prevention training or certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with Point, Click, Care (PCC) or similar EMAR.
  • Strong knowledge of Personal Care, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care regulations and operations.

Housekeeper

Dunwoody Village is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill various Housekeeper positions.

The Housekeeper position is full-time (75 hours per bi-weekly pay period) and will be scheduled to work primarily 7 AM to 3 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM.  This position does require a weekend and holiday rotation.

The Housekeeper is responsible for providing a clean environment to all assigned areas, including but not limited to resident rooms, offices, bathrooms, and/or storage areas.

The Housekeeper is responsible for the daily sweeping, mopping, and burnishing of the main corridor and resident room floors and has a strong working knowledge of sanitizing and disinfection of bathrooms and common areas in a residential and/or healthcare setting.

All offers of positions are contingent, based upon successful completion of a criminal background check, 2 completed references, an Influenza record, and a drug screen.

Central Supply Manager

Dunwoody Village is seeking a Central Supply Manager.

Candidates must have extensive experience managing the central supply operations within a nursing community. This role oversees the procurement, storage, distribution, and organization of all supplies and equipment within the nursing department. This role is also essential in ensuring that staff have what they need to serve residents in a compassionate way and provide high-quality customer service.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Oversee the inventory control operation to ensure that all supplies are stocked and on site for use by Dunwoody Village staff and residents. This includes conducting an inventory of items to ensure ordering is correct and accurate based on needs.
  • Ordering supplies from approved vendors and monitoring/managing costs of new equipment or repairs.
  • Supervision of the Central Supply Clerk to ensure that all items being distributed are recorded in the Orbitz system to be billed to residents or departmental budgets at the end of each month.
  • Foster a culture of excellence by demonstrating technical and management proficiency, initiative, and leadership aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Dunwoody Village.

What you will need

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a Central Supply operation within a CCRC or similar organization.
  • Experience with charge capture (such as the Orbitz system) to ensure all supplies are charged to residents appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills, proficiency in inventory management systems, and knowledge of medical terminology and equipment.
