New Unnamed ‘Boutiquey’ Restaurant Coming Soon to Wayne

A liquor license is in place for a new restaurant under construction at 166 E. Lancaster Ave. in Wayne.

Radnor Commissioners have paved the way for a new restaurant with their approval of a relocated liquor license from Chester to Wayne, writes Richard Ilgenfritz for Main Line Media News, as printed in the Daily Times.

Restaurant owner Larry Kagan talked about his vision for the new restaurant, still under construction at 166 E. Lancaster Ave.

“It’s not going to be a giant restaurant, but that’s part of the concept,” Kagan said. “It’s going to be boutiquey. It’s going to have the soul of a steakhouse but be a grill, which expands the lens from just being a steakhouse.”

The 85-seat restaurant, still unnamed, will utilize the talents of a chef who is a Wayne native who has built a “really good culinary career.”

There will be a wood-fired grill. Besides steak, the restaurant will feature a dry-aged fish program, poultry, and smoked vegetables.

“It’s going to be somewhat surprising for a steak-centered restaurant, but that’s kind of the point,” Kagan said.

The plan is to open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday, beginning at 5:30 PM.

There will be no outdoor seating, since there’s no room for it..
