Bittersweet Kitchen on South Orange Street in Media Borough is a favorite brunch spot that also offers breakfast, lunch, and baked goods, reports Bob Kelly for Fox 29 Philadelphia.
Featured items include Crème Brule pancakes, apple cider fritters, and a customer favorite, the Huevos Rancheros.
The apple cider fritters are made with vanilla pastry cream and caramel sauce.
The Huevos Rancheros are layered with house potatoes on the bottom and a corn tortilla filled with beef or vegetarian chili and topped with eggs, Pico de Gallo, salsa Verde, and avocado.
There are also daily omelets and other breakfast and lunch favorites.
Bittersweet Kitchen has been open for 11 years. “Eat More Brunch” is the restaurant’s motto, which you can find etched in concrete outside the eatery.
“We have an amazing pool of regular customers that truly feel like family to us,” said Heidi, one of the restaurant staff.
It’s that family atmosphere combined with fantastic food that keeps people coming back, she said.
Bittersweet Kitchen is open seven days a week from 7 AM to 2 PM Monday through Friday.
They are also open at 8 AM on weekends. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, they reopen at 5 PM with a pizza menu.
