Perkasie Doctor Supports Cancer Patients with Holistic Wellness Approach

Breast surgeon and founder of Still Rise Farms, Dr. Monique Gary, helps cancer patients with traditional medicine and holistic healing.

Dr. Monique Gary, a breast surgeon and founder of Still Rise Farms in Perkasie, is helping cancer and chronic illness patients by integrating traditional medicine with holistic healing, writes Racquel Williams for KYW Newsradio.

After 11 years in practice, Gary drew inspiration from her mother and grandmother, both nurses, to specialize in oncology surgery.

“They both got afflicted with cancer,” she said. “My mother, at 29, she died, leaving two girls behind. And my grandmother, who then took up that mantle and raised us, and got diagnosed with breast cancer twice in her life.”

Still Rise Farms is a 40-acre retreat center providing a sanctuary and holistic wellness support for individuals facing cancer and chronic illness.

Gary’s holistic approach to healing is rooted in the belief that wellness begins with the land and food. She believes that achieving health and wholeness starts with just learning to be still.

“The concept of being still so you can rise again is really what it’s born out of,” said Gary.

The farm provides a variety of offerings, including agricultural programs, horticultural therapy, and immersive wellness experiences, along with fit farm activities.
