A Chester Springs hidden gem, Longview Farm & Gallery is a private residence that moonlights as an art gallery, showcasing local talent through rotating bimonthly exhibitions.
After renovating the original 19th century hay barn on the property, Longview is open to the public on Sundays from 12-3 PM and the first Saturday of each month. The latter is an evening escape beginning at 5 PM as staff set up for a new exhibit and enjoy live music to shape the art atmosphere. Additionally, Longview offers programs such as yoga and workshops.
In its third operating year, the 2026 gallery theme is Dreams.
Longview’s upcoming exhibition features Philadelphia-based artist Leroy David Nunery III, a force of nature that paints, sculpts, teaches, and occasionally creates music. With a Bachelors in Sociology from University of Pennsylvania and an M.F.A. from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Nunery worked as a graphic designer and web developer for 15 years before returning to his calling.
Longview will exhibit “Hyperobjects” starting March 7, with the opening reception taking place from 5-8 PM. The midshow reception occurs on April 4, and the final day to view his work is April 25. The gallery is located at 143 Cedar Ln.
Nunery is an abstract painter, focusing on deliberate yet unforced brush strokes that tell stories which have minds of their own. From muted neutral tones to bold splashes of color, his work demonstrates the subconscious thoughts of daily life.
“Hyperobjects” is inspired by Nunery’s graduate research and the writings of Rice University Professor Timothy Morton, whose book shares the name of the exhibit.
Mark your calendars for the solo exhibition of Leroy David Nunery III at Longview Farm & Gallery.
