After months of waiting, the Panda Express in Middletown officially opened on Jan. 22 on Lincoln Highway, writes JD Mullane for the Bucks County Courier Times.
The restaurant, which specializes in American Chinese dishes, was initially scheduled to open before Thanksgiving. The grand opening was pushed back, and the new date was announced by spokeswoman Rachel Johnson.
Panda Express is based in Rosemead, California, and this is the chain’s second location in Bucks County.
The new location is at the site of the former Langhorne Speedway Diner, previously known as the Blue Fountain Diner.
The chain offers “convenient, delicious, flavorful food,” said Johnson.
“It is family-owned and operated and best known as a trailblazer for creating a wide variety of industry-first recipes like the Original Orange Chicken, which have defined the category of authentic American Chinese cuisine,” she continued.
The new location has job openings available, with hourly wages set between $17 and $19.
