Christmas pop-up bars are easier to find these days as bars entertain patrons with decorations, specialty drinks, and food.
Ridley House in Holmes takes it a step further, with décor, food, and drinks that are Grinch-themed. And folks in Ridley Township love it, reports Bob Kelly for Fox 29.
Ridley House, at 2107 MacDade Blvd., turns into downtown Whoville at Christmastime, with Grinchy touches throughout.
“I’ve been to pop-up bars so many of them, but you guys have done it right,” Kelly said during a recent appearance there for his segment “Breakfast With Bob.”
The decorations are right out of Dr. Seuss. You can pose with a full-size stuffed Grinch and green fur pads the bar.
We’re bringing that holiday spirit into Ridley,” said Art, who gave Kelly a tour. “As soon as we tore down Halloween, we started with Christmas.”
Grinch-themed food includes Mean Green Mr. Grinch Eggrolls and the Whoville Gobbler.
For specialty drinks, there’s Whoville White Chocolate, The Mean Green Adult Capri Sun, and the Grinchiana.
“We love the Grinch cave. It’s our favorite,” said two women enjoying some of Ridley House’s downtime.
