The annual Holiday Spectacular from the Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars returns this year on Dec. 20 and 21.
The high-energy, family-friendly performance captures the magic of the season with traditional holiday music, festive choreography, and holiday production numbers.
The Holiday Spectacular is presented by the Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation.
Performances are Saturday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, Dec. 21, at 1 PM, at the Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School, 403 N. Lansdowne Ave. in Drexel Hill.
There will be a mix of classic carols, contemporary holiday hits, and heartwarming surprises performed by the Shooting Stars, which features more than 14 high schools across the region.
The 90-minute performances will include “Christmas Time Is Here”, “We Are Lights”, “Carol Of The Bells”, “Do You Hear What I Hear”, and other holiday favorites.
Audiences can also expect medleys from White Christmas, The Polar Express, and Sparklejollytwinklejingley from Elf: The Musical.
“This show is a holiday tradition that brings our community together,” said Kevin Dietzler, Shooting Stars Director. “The Shooting Stars are so excited to share the joy of music and the magic of the season with audiences of all ages.”
Tickets range from $18 to $23 and are on sale now at the Upper Darby Summer Stage website.
The Shooting Stars are a dynamic show choir that performs across the Philadelphia region throughout the year.
This audition group features energetic performers who inspire audiences across the region through their music, dance, and storytelling.
The Shooting Stars are comprised of participants of Upper Darby Summer Stage and share the magic of Summer Stage all year long through the power of ensemble and joy of performance.
