Upper Darby Summer Stager David Corenswet, the star of the new ‘Superman‘ movie due out July 11, has made the cover of People Magazine, which hit newsstands Friday.
In the cover interview, the Philadelphia-born actor who grew up in Upper Merion Township shared why he prefers the Eagles over the Phillies, and hoagies over cheesesteaks, writes Molly McVety for Philly Voice.
You’ll also be happy to know he’s a Wawa fan who “claims he does not know what Sheetz is.”
And despite a lean toward the Eagles, Corenswet did say he “loves the Phillies and loves watching them.”
Which is fortunate, because the Phillies are promoting the new “Superman” movie Sunday after their game against the New York Mets with a drone show.
The 31-year-old actor met his wife at Upper Darby Summer Stage. They now live in the Philadelphia suburbs and have a daughter, born in early 2024.
In the interview, Corenswet discusses his life as a new dad and the thrill of landing the role of Superman.
“I thought it was impossible that I’d ever get to play Superman, because it’s impossible that anybody would get to play Superman,” he told the magazine.
