Upper Darby Summer Stage’s Shooting Stars Return to 6ABC’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars return to the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia this Thursday.

The Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars will be performing once again in the Philadelphia 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday.

The group features performers from more than 14 regional high schools who are participants in Upper Darby Summer Stage.

The high-energy song-and-dance group is an audition-only show choir that performs throughout the year across the Philadelphia region.

Its performances include music, dance, and storytelling.

The Shooting Stars have been a traditional part of the parade for more than a decade.

They will appear multiple times throughout the parade, offering four different parade performances, including one performance that will feature Summer Stage soloists.

“We’re honored to be a part of such a beloved holiday tradition,” said Kevin Dietzler, Shooting Stars Director. “Our performers have been working hard to bring a little extra magic to this year’s celebration and can’t wait to share it with the community.”

The Dunkin’ 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade draws thousands of spectators and television viewers every year.

“Being part of the Thanksgiving Day Parade is such a special tradition for our group,” said Chris Luner, Summer Stage Artistic and Managing Director. “It’s an honor to represent our community on such a big stage and share the magic, energy and togetherness that defines our organization.”

The parade takes place Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27, beginning at 9 AM. It will be broadcast on Philadelphia’s 6ABC network.
