The boys’ basketball season in the Philadelphia area will see some elite talent, including Bonner-Prendergast’s Korey Francis and Haverford School’s Silas Graham, writes Joseph Santoliquito for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Francis, a 6-foot-4 junior guard, is a strong downhill guard. He’s been able to score driving to the basket or with a mid-range jump shot.
He has scholarship offers from St. Joseph’s, Temple, East Carolina, Albany, Florida Gulf Coast, and Hofstra.
Francis was a first-team all-Catholic selection as a sophomore and received a vote from every league team.
Already averaging 22 points per game, some consider him to be the best guard in the Catholic League.
Graham, a 6-5 junior guard from Haverford School who started there as an eighth-grader, averaged 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals as a sophomore.
Considered a scoring threat, he can dribble-drive, pull up from mid-range, and is consistent with three-pointers.
“He makes everyone around him better and is receiving mid-major interest,” Santoliquito wrote.
They are part of a group that also includes Logan Chwastyk, Colton Hiller, Sammy Jackson, Jaydn Jenkins, Ethan Johnston, Latief Lorenzano-White, Owen Kelly, Derric Morton-Rivera, Zaahir Muhammad-Gray, Marquis Newson, Rowan Phillips, Mani Sajid, and RJ Smith.
