Full-Time Cook

Dunwoody Village is seeking a talented Cook to join its vibrant culinary team. With upscale dining, restaurant-style, and pub-inspired dining, the Dunwoody Village community provides residents with delicious, high-quality meals in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to order, including classic comfort dishes, elevated pub fare, and seasonal specialties.
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portion control of all food served.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and improve menu items.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Engage respectfully with residents and team members to contribute to a positive dining experience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant, pub, hotel, or senior living setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for great food.
  • Culinary education is a plus but not required – experience and skill are what matter most.
  • ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Full-Time Utility worker

Dunwoody Village is currently seeking someone for a Full-Time Utility position. They must also be available to work a weekend and holiday rotation. 

This position will work from 7 AM to 3 PM  and is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen and dish room areas. This position will also be responsible for ensuring all areas of the kitchen are clean and closed after the dinner shift and ready for the following day’s meal service.

Full-Time Assistant Dining Room Manager

Dunwoody Village is seeking a full-time Assistant Dining Room Manager.

The assistant manager will be responsible for (but not limited to) staff recruitment, staff training, staff supervision, scheduling, coordinating events, and overseeing the bar and bartender during days of service. The assistant manager reports to the Dining Room Manager and works closely with them to facilitate all aspects of the dining room operation.

Dunwoody Village has completed the renovation of our dining rooms and food service venues as part of a $24 million capital project. The Assistant Dining Room Manager will work closely with the Dining Room Manager and the Director of Dining Services during the project and will have the unique opportunity to successfully impact the new venues by training and recruiting staff to serve our residents.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a dining-related supervisory/managerial role.
  • A strong desire to provide exceptional dining services to older adults.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in fine dining and/or country club setting.
  • Superb customer service and organizational skills.
  • Long-term care experience is strongly preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills are required as you will interact with residents, family members, and all levels of management.
  • Comfortable with interviewing potential new staff members.
  • RAMP and/or ServSafe certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with point-of-service systems.
  • This job requires working varied shifts – including some nights, some weekends, and participating in a holiday rotation.
