Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 women’s professional basketball league, will be coming to Philadelphia during its 2026 season.

The official announcement was made during a rally and press conference at LOVE Park on Thursday, October 2.

Founded in 2023 by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, Unrivaled has served as an alternative basketball league for players during the WNBA offseason who prefer to remain in the United States rather than play overseas.

Its inaugural season launched in January 2025 in Miami, and with expansion plans for the 2026 season, Philadelphia will be its first stop.

“Coming to Philly — in such a historical place for sports and basketball — this was a very easy decision for us,” said Alex Bazzell, President of Unrivaled.

The league will be coming to Philadelphia for two games being played on Jan. 30, 2026, at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

“This will be the first time since 1998 that professional women’s basketball is back in Philadelphia,” said Mayor Cherelle Parker.

This was the final year of the American Basketball League, and the hometown Philadelphia Rage.

Parker added that Unrivaled is more than just a league.

“This revolutionary professional women’s basketball league is, in essence, reshaping the entire sports landscape,” she said.

Natasha Cloud, who grew up in Broomall in Delaware County and starred at St. Joseph’s University, couldn’t hold in her excitement to see women’s basketball return to the City of Brotherly Love.

“Philly is such a special part of who I am,” said Cloud. “You truly are a product of your environment and this city raised me. It has made me into the dog … We create dogs. We get everything out the mud. Nothing cam easy to us. There’s no silver spoons here. All we know how to do is work, and that’s how I show up on the court every single day.”
