Task showrunner Brad Ingelsby is open to the idea of a second season for  his HBO crime drama that takes place in Delaware County, reports Kamryn Scrivens for Fox 29.

“Look, I’d love to do another season of Task,” said Ingelsby, speaking at the 34th annual Philadelphia Film Festival. “I think if, if there’s an appetite for another story in this world, I would love to write it. We’ll see how the audience reacts at the end of the season, but I’d love to do it.”

Other Task cast members were also on the scene, talking about their experience working in Delaware County and playing Delco-centric characters.

“You know, it’s really wild to film a show where the show is set,” said actor Tom Pelphrey, who plays Robbie Prendergast.

“It just made it meaningful, like it added a depth to the experience, like a joy of celebrating a community in real time,” Pelphrey said.

Emilia Jones plays Delco native Maeve, Robbie’s 21-year-old niece in Task

“Like, everyone from Delco has a great energy, and it was just really fun to build on that,” she said.
