Last week, The Arc of Chester County proudly celebrated three preschool graduates who will soon be heading off to kindergarten and a new chapter in their educational journey.

For more than 60 years, The Arc’s inclusive preschool has brought together children with and without disabilities to learn side-by-side in an environment that nurtures growth, acceptance, and belonging.

Research shows that inclusive classrooms don’t just help children meet developmental milestones; they help build empathy, leadership, and lifelong social skills.

At The Arc, those benefits can be seen every day as children form friendships, support each other, and discover their own unique strengths.

“Graduation can be such a bittersweet moment,” shared Kera Swift-Josey, Senior Director of Programs and Services. “We remind families that even though their preschool years are ending, The Arc will always be here for them. We offer services that span a lifetime, and we look forward to continuing to support them.”

The Arc’s preschool stands out in Chester County for its small class sizes, certified teachers, year-round programming, on-site nurse, and, most importantly, its commitment to the whole child—socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. The program’s culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging creates a foundation that will carry graduates far beyond kindergarten.

The Arc of Chester County’s Preschool has year-round enrollment and has openings. Click here for more information about The Arc’s Preschool.  To schedule a personal tour, contact Kera Swift-Josey at 610-696-8090 Ext. 267 or [email protected].
