Newtown’s The Borscht Belt deli is taking to the streets this summer in their new food truck, bringing delicious food to public and private events, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
“We’re thrilled to announce that the Borscht Belt Food Truck is officially on the move — spreading good vibes, great food, and a whole lot of love wherever we go,” Borscht Belt partner Mike Dalewitz said.
Customers will be able to get their favorite menu items from the truck, including their hand-carved sandwiches and brisket cheesesteaks. Rugelach, chocolate babka, potato salad, coleslaw and macaroni salad will also be available.
The truck will primarily be attending events in the Delaware Valley. However, they have committed to making appearances in upstate New York and the Hamptons.
“Any breweries, markets or festivals that want to take us, we’re open for business. We’re also available for backyard parties and private events,” Dalewitz said.
New additions are also coming to the deli’s store on Eagle Road. New menu items like pancakes, smash burgers, breakfast skillets, meatloaf and onion rings will be added.
The truck will be making appearances at Food Truck Friday at Bolton Mansion, Fall Festival at Bolton Mansion, Yardley Harvest Day, Oktoberfest at Playwicki Farm and several other events in the coming months.
