Collingdale Vet Hosts Estate Sale Covering 40  Years of History

George Kaiser is selling off 40 years of collectibles as he renovates and makes changes to his business.

George Kaiser has had a career as a US Navy veteran, as a firefighter with Collingdale Fire Company No. 1, and as the owner of Kaiser’s Storage Center, which traces its history back to an auto-repair business started by his father.

It’s no surprise, then, that he’s built up quite a unique collection.

Now everything must go, writes Matteo Iadonisi for 6abc.

An estate sale will take place at Kaiser’s Storage Center at 311 W Oak Ln, in Glenolden.

It will run from Friday, July 11, to Sunday, July 13, 9 AM to 4 PM Friday and Saturday, and 10 AM to 4  PM Sunday.

Kaiser’s collection includes tractors, model boats, toy trains, furniture, and fire hoses, 40  years’ worth of memories.

The estate sale will allow Kaiser and his family to do renovations and open new opportunities for their business.

They’re working with Lisa Krieger to create an estate sale.

Krieger runs ‘SuperHappyNice Dry Goods & Emporium,’ an online thrift shop that also curates South Philadelphia vintage sales.

“It’s time to let them go on to somebody else who could use them and know it’s going to go to a good home, so to speak,” Kaiser said.
