Vybe Urgent Care Eyes Expansion Amid Crozer Health Absence

Vybe Urgent Care is adding a fourth location and possibly more in Delaware County in response to the closing of Crozer Health.

Vybe Urgent Care, which already operates three centers in Delaware County, plans to add a fourth location, and possibly more, following the shutdown of Crozer Health, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Vybe CEO Peter Hotz founded the company in 2016.

“When I started this company, it was to improve access to primary care in areas of the city where there was a need,” Hotz said. “But what was an urban problem has become a suburban problem with situations like what happened at Crozer Health,” he said.

Vybe is based in Bala Cynwyd and has 15 locations in the region, including centers in Folsom, Havertown, and Radnor.

Lease negotiations are underway now for a fourth Vybe location in Delaware County.

The urgent care company’s Folsom location has seen a 20 percent increase in patient volume since Taylor Hospital closed in Ridley Park, less than a mile away.

“We’ve added about 10 patients a day at the site,” Hotz said. “We’re seeing about 60 patients a day there now.”

Four former Crozer Health employees now work for Vybe in physician assistant, X-ray technologist, and medical assistant vacancies, according to Hotz.
