Local Vendors Sought for PGA Championship at Aronimink in Newtown Square

Local businesses are encouraged to apply as vendors for the 2026 PGA Championship at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square.

Local businesses are invited to help out at the 2026 PGA Championship next year at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, writes Nick Kariuki for Billy Penn at WHYY.

Vendors are needed in 19 service categories, but the June 3 deadline to apply is approaching fast.

The PGA VendorMatch program gives local businesses a chance to work with the tournament’s national suppliers as local subcontractors.

The tournament, slated for May 11-17, 2026,  is an opportunity to find new partners that understand the local market, according to Sandy Cross, the Chief People Officer for PGA of America.

“It’s really important for us to not come into these communities like Newtown Square, tear up the golf course, hold the event, and head on out of town,” Cross said. “We really want to leave an impact on individuals and locally owned and small businesses in the community that continues on.”

More than 200,000 spectators are expected for the tournament, with a half billion households tuning in worldwide.

The economic impact to the region starts at around $125 million, according to Ryan Ogle, championship director for the PGA Championship.

PGA VendorMatch registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, June 3.
