For the first time in over 60 years, Aronmink Golf Club in Newtown Square is hosting the PGA Championship in 2026. Ticket registration has opened for the event, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Registration began on March 31 and will continue until May 27. Upon registering, individuals will be assigned a group and purchase window for when tickets officially go on sale in May. Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event was last hosted by Aronimink in 1962.
The PGA Championship will take place in 2026 from May 11 to May 17. Up to 156 professional golfers from around the world will attend.
Championship director Ryan Ogle anticipates that tickets will sell out.
Approximately 200,000 individuals are anticipated to attend, while nearly 500 million households will watch the event via TV broadcasts.
Alongside regular tickets, Championship+ tickets are also available for purchase. These tickets will allow customers access to non-alcoholic beverages and food throughout the duration of the event.
Hospitality suits and tables will also be available, though many of the more expensive suits have already been reserved.
This Championship is one of several major upcoming sporting events in the Philadelphia region.
