Jason Kelce officially announced his retirement Monday afternoon.

Over the past couple of seasons, the Brotherly Shove has been among the most often used plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.

All-Pro center, Jason Kelce yells the same three-word phrase before every tush push play, writes Jenna Lemoncelli for the New York Post.

According to Fox Sports NFL reporter, Laura Okmin, Kelce yells “F–k my life!” before each tush push play.

In a post on X, Okmin noted that the quote explains the toll it took on Kelce each time that play was drawn up.

At the culmination of each tush push, Kelce found himself under a pile of his opponents.

Due to its level of success, many have called for the play to be banned, to which Kelce said on his and his brother, Travis’, podcast, “At this point, I don’t care. I’m over the discussion about it.”

With NFL insider Adam Schefter reporting that Kelce told his teammates he’s retiring after the Eagles’ wildcard loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the fate of the play will most likely be determined without Kelce being directly impacted.

Whether or not he officially hangs it up, Kelce has already etched his name among the Eagles’ all-time greats and a Super Bowl champion.
