Another $14.05 million has been raised through a debt sale by the Cobbs Creek Foundation to support its current $150 million renovation and expansion of the Cobbs Creek Golf and Education Campus in West Philadelphia and Upper Darby, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The foundation has raised more than $100 million for the project.

The Truist Championship PGA Tour event is donating  $750,000.

Philadelphia has contributed $3 million from its capital budget, and Pennsylvania has provided $3.5 million from its Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.

There is also a $250,000 grant from the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation to build a junior putting green.

In March, Radnor-based Lincoln Financial became a founding partner.

It will assist the Cobbs Creek Foundation and Tiger Woods’ TGR Foundation in offering financial literacy programs for kids, families, and adults.

The project encompasses an indoor/outdoor golf practice facility, entertainment venue, restaurant, pro shop, and a Heritage Center.

A TGR Learning Lab at Cobbs Creek will have a full-time instructional staff for students in grades one through 12 with free year-round courses in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Work is also slated to restore the 18-hole Olde Course and a 9-hole course.
