Couple Sells Rose Valley Home as They Downsize to Florida

Dorothea and Raymond Klapinsky are downsizing and have put their Rose Valley home up for sale.

Dorothea and Raymond Klapinsky started dating while in high school in Newark, Delaware, and eventually married.

For much of their marriage, they have lived in different homes in the Media area, most recently in a 3-bedroom townhouse they bought new in 2016, writes Paul Jablow for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The couple had considerable influence over the home’s design, which is located in the cluster wooded community of Traymore in Rose Valley.

They divided their time between their Rose Valley home and a Florida condo they bought in 20111.

Now Dorothea and Ryamond, a retired securities attorney, have decided to downsize and move to Florida permanently.

The townhouse, or carriage house, is for sale.

The home accesses hiking trails of the Maurice Saul Wildlife Preserve.

There’ s a family room with a gas fireplace, built-in bookshelves and a wall of windows.

The kitchen features a wine refrigerator and an eating area with patio access.

The first-floor primary bedroom has two walk-in closets, and an en suite bathroom with a glass stall shower, soaking tub, double sink vanity, linen closet, and private water closet.

The house is listed by Heidi Foggo of Compass Realty for $875,000.
