A 16-year employee of Main Line Pizza & Catering in Wayne is now its new owner, writes Ben Silver for Main Line Today.
Alban Fezollari and his wife, Ana, Albanian immigrants, bought the business in January from Robert and Jennifer Saionz, who ran the business from 1993 through 2024.
Alban’s two brothers worked at the pizza shop, and he got a job there in 2008 when he arrived in Philadelphia.
“Alban got off the plane, out of the airport, and came straight here,” said Jennifer. “And all he knew how to say was ‘hello, hi!’”
His brothers wanted Alban to work there because the owners treat you like you’re part of the family.
“That’s why everybody works here for such a long time. Nobody wants to leave because Robert’s not a superior; we’re a team,” Alban said.
He was a natural in the pizza business, learning everything he could.
Eventually, the owners helped bring Alban’s wife, Ana, over from Europe.
The legacy of Main Line Pizza and the Saionzes is well-known in Wayne for all the shop has given back to the community.
Now, the Saionzes are excited to see Alban put his spin on their business.
