A recent Ridley High School graduate who helped revive a struggling Ridley pizza shop has been rewarded by two local businessmen for his efforts, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

Nick Mniecznikowski was presented a $3,000 check  before his graduation  Tuesday.

The money will help fund his continuing education at the Williamson College of the Trades in the fall.

Back in February, Nick Mniecznikowski learned that business was slow at Eric’s Pizza Shop on Chester Pike so he encouraged people in a Facebook post to purchase a pizza from the struggling business.

The post went viral and Eric’s Pizza, owned by Eric Brooks, has been doing a booming business since.

Mike McIntyre, owner of ProAction Restoration in Holmes and Nick Lanzetta of Lanzetta Landscaping in Secane, decided to reward the high school senior for helping a local small business succeed.
