Dill Dinkers Has Big Plans for Pickleball Across Montco

Dill Dinkers owner Andrew Wakefield celebrates the opening of the new Lansdale location and has plans to expand to Hatboro and beyond.

Dill Dinkers is rapidly expanding its presence in the region, starting with the recent opening of its first Montgomery County complex in Lansdale, reports John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The facility at Velocity Station features 11 indoor courts, a pro shop, event space, and ball machines for practice. This marks the first step in an ambitious expansion plan led by regional developers Andrew Wakefield and his father.

The Wakefields are already looking ahead, with plans to open a second Dill Dinkers location in Hatboro’s Station Park

This 48,000-square-foot site will feature 18 courts and will launch later this year. Beyond Hatboro, the Wakefields are scouting additional sites across the region. They aim to establish at least three more locations in the coming year.

This aggressive expansion is part of the Wakefields’ strategic push to grow Dill Dinkers’ footprint across Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties. Having invested over $500,000 per facility, the team is committed to scaling the business while maintaining high-quality facilities and services.

Memberships at these sites, which allow access across all Dill Dinkers locations, have been strong. The Lansdale location is approaching 500 members. The franchise model involves an initial $50,000 fee and 8% royalties, demonstrating significant investment potential. With growing demand for indoor sports facilities, Dill Dinkers aims to solidify its role as a leader in the regional pickleball scene.
