Milkshakes are available on most menus in Pennsylvania, but it takes real skill to create a truly great one, writes PhillyBite Magazine. 

So it might surprise people to know that a famous place in Delaware County known for its made-to-order burgers also makes a mean shake.

Charlie’s Hamburgers in Folsom made PhillyBite Magazine’s list of the top 10 milkshake spots in Pennsylvania. 

Charlies, which dates back to 1935, has old-school classic milkshakes. For variety, try a black and white milkshake with the featured milkshake of the month mixed in.

The ice cream parlor, part of a local chain, scoops ice cream and frozen yogurt in various flavors and also offers several fat-free options. 

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt is known to have the best ice cream for miles. Even more importantly, their milkshakes are absolutely phenomenal. 

The spot even uses large Oreo cookies to make its ice cream sandwiches.
