2SP Brewing in Aston is offering up its own DelcoFest lager at this year's Sept. 14 event.

The Annual DelcoFest, Delaware County’s own version of an Oktoberfest, returns Saturday, Sept. 14, at 2SP Brewing, 120 Concord Road, in Aston, writes Laua Swartz for Philadelphia Magazine.

This, and several other festivals in our region, line up with Munich, Germany’s 189th Oktoberfest this fall.

The DelcoFest from noon to 8 PM is offering a DelcoFest special lager this year. Also new is the Lowrider Dog Derby. Small dog owners had an opportunity to enter champion in a small dog race on 2SP’s 50-foot grassy track for a $10 donation to Rags 2 Riches Rescue.

The pay-as-you-go DelcoFest will have live music in the afternoon from Polkadelphia and food trucks will be on site.

The event is kid-friendly and includes games and a stein-hoisting competition at 3 PM where participants can win a $100 gift card.

Coming up on Sept. 28 in Ardmore is the Fall for Ardmore Festival at the Schauffele Plaza outside Tired Hands.

The 2 to 6 PM event has food, beer, and live music, with Oktoberfest-inspired snacks like bratwurst, sauerkraut, pierogies, and Bavarian pretzels.  A VIP Beer Garden with reserved seating and pre-paid drink tickets is available.

The Ardmore event includes a kids zone via Lulu’s Casita.
