
CCRES and the Achieve Adult Service program is hosting open house interviews Tuesday, June 11, and Friday, June 14, in Downingtown for those interested in working as a Direct Support Professional with the Achieve program.
The position includes a $500 sign on bonus.
Achieve is a 9 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday program at the Mill Town Square Shopping Center for adults with disabilities ages 21 and older who wish to develop a wide range of life skills while engaging and participating in their community.
The Direct Support Professional uses a person-centered approach, working face to face with Achieve consumers to develop learning opportunities based on their unique skills and interests of the individual.
Community activities include visits to local libraries, stores and restaurants, parks and the gym.
Participating Achieve consumers learn to utilize public transit, participate in reading and games, art and music, learn meal preparation, and develop communication and pre-vocational skills.
CCRES provides the Direct Support Professionals who will work closely with Chester County Intermediate Unit staff and the Achieve consumers.
The Achieve Program Open Interview Days will take place Tuesday, June 11, Noon to 4 PM, and Friday, June 14, 9 AM to Noon, at the Mill Town Square Shopping Center, 150 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 430, in Downingtown.
Candidates should park at the Kimberton Whole Foods and follow the path between buildings to the Achieve offices.
While there, you will have a chance to learn about working with adults with disabilities, tour the facility, meet program supervisors and present an updated resume.
