The Ground, a Parisian-inspired coffee shop adorned in plants, recently opened its doors in Rittenhouse Square, writes Molly Given for Metro Philadelphia.

The owners, long-time friends and new business partners Michelle Miller and Molly Kiriacoulacos, wanted a spot that would offer both trinkets and goodies for your home, along with your favorite drink or meal.

The new space features bubble tea, coffee, espresso, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and Korean-inspired eats, along with hundreds of houseplants and some gifts available for purchase.

This is the brand’s second location, with the first being in Old Kensington. The new space is twice the size of the original shop, leaving plenty of room for an even larger selection of curated food, drinks, and plants.

Locals can now enjoy a true “urban oasis” with eclectic and comfortable cafe seating, an interactive bubble booth, and a hand-painted wall mural.

“We are thrilled to bring The Ground to Rittenhouse Square,” said Miller. “It represents the true hustle and bustle of Center City, and has an amazing electric energy. We feel our little concept can bring not only a lot of happiness to residents and visitors, but it can bring a nice balance to the area.”
