Sarai Quinice had been giving pedicures to friends and family members since she was 8, but these days she’s using her Drexel Hill nail salon business, Rye’tious Nails, to focus on preventative podiatry.

Her medical foot and nail care business offers everything from routine maintenance to prosthetic toenail restoration, writes Eric Nixon for WHYY.

Quinice’s goal is to provide “spiritual and medical level healing” to at-risk clients with diseases, infections and ailments that happened because of unattended foot care.

Dr. Danial Khalifa, a podiatrist in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area, has partnered with Quinice.

“Not only is she exceptionally kind and approachable, but she also demonstrates excellent teamwork skills. Moreover, her motivation is truly inspiring,” Dr,. Khalifa said.

The name Rye’tious Nails combines Quinice’s nickname, “Rye,” with a play on the Christian message of “righteous servitude.”

She committed her life to Christ in 2021, which helped focus her podiatry career.

Quinice empathizes with clients needing foot help, since similar problems run in her family.

“I want them to walk in, expecting to be healed,” she said.

She’s hoping one day to turn Rye’tious Nails into a franchise, with medical nail technician facilities in nursing homes and mobile nail salons.
