Here’s a Chance to Switch Up Your Yoga in Ambler, With a Horse and Goat

Now you can enjoy your yoga routine in the presence of rescue animals at Horse and Goat Yoga in Ambler

If you need a companion to join you during yoga, there’s a trend that just might be what you’re looking for, write Kalena Thomhave for The Keystone.

It’s time to check out goat yoga.

It’s a traditional yoga class led by an instructor, except goats roam around and now and then might sniff, nuzzle or climb on you as you pose.

You might say it’s animal-assisted therapy mingled with exercise.

There are plenty of places in Pennsylvania that practice goat yoga, sometimes called “goga.”

Locally, there is a location in Ambler that offers horse and goat yoga, using year-round rescued animals.

During winter, Horse and Goat Yoga offer classes in a barn.

Participants can join goat yoga, often held with baby goats wearing diapers that need to be bottle-fed.  These yoga classes last one hour. Bottle-feeding time is half an hour.

There’s also horse yoga, which is yoga done while sitting on horseback.

You can book classes on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Classes are $34 per person with proceeds going to rescued animals, including goats.

Horse and Goat Yoga also offers 1.5-hour private sessions, with sessions all to yourselves, whether with friends, family, or colleagues.
