Tamagawa University returns to West Chester University for a performance of thundering Taiko drumming and folkloric Japanese dance on Tuesday, Apr. 9, at 7:30 PM.

The event will take place in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester. Tickets range in price from $15-$25 and are now on sale to the public.

Tamagawa University’s performances combine modern and traditional styles for an athletic and graceful performance. The show is a visually stunning display of art and artistry that has become an annual favorite for West Chester University audiences.

From the College of Arts in Tokyo, Tamagawa University has been touring the world since 1961, visiting Mexico, England, Greece, Canada, Malaysia, Russia, Indonesia, Africa, and the United States. The troupe has toured extensively on the East Coast, including performances at the Kennedy Center and the National Cherry Blossom Festival. This is their 12th year performing at West Chester University.

West Chester University welcomes Jersey Boys & Girls for an evening that showcases New Jersey’s most legendary artists in one spectacular musical extravaganza. The event will occur on Friday, Apr. 12, in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester. Tickets range in price from $20-$30 and are now on sale to the public.

Jersey Boys and Girls is an unforgettable night of performances that pay homage to artists like Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Frankie Valli, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Lesley Gore, and others. Expect to be swept away by classics like “Fly Me To The Moon,” “My Eyes Adored You,” “That’s Life!,” “They Can’t Take That Away From Me,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “I Will Always Love You,” and many more.

Programmed as part of the WCU Live Performing Arts Series, Jersey Boys & Girls is perfect for all ages. It revisits the soundtracks of yesterday and bridges generations through the power of music.
