Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Market is expanding its footprint in Philadelphia and opening 2 new locations in the city in June.

As part of its latest expansion plans in Philadelphia, Sprouts Farmers Market is planning to open two new stores in the city set to open in June, writes Michaela Althouse for PhillyVoice.

The first of the two stores will open at the Roosevelt Mall in Northeast Philadelphia on June 14, while the season is set to open in Quartermaster Plaza in South Philadelphia one week later on June 21.

The two new stores are among six the organic grocery chain is planning to add in the Philadelphia region.

Sprouts opened its first Philadelphia stores in 2018, and the Phoenix-based chain has set its sights on growing its footprint in the Philadelphia market ever since.

In choosing new locations, a Sprouts spokesperson said the company seeks to bring healthy, fresh, natural, and organic food options to communities that may lack them.

“As Sprouts continues to grow across the country, we are excited to enter new markets and expand where we have a smaller footprint like, for example, the Philadelphia area, to offer residents our unique better-for-you offerings,” the spokesperson said.

Sprouts also has a store located on South Broad Street.
