Greenwood Racing Inc., the owner of Parx Casino, has expanded its real estate holdings with the acquisition of two office buildings near its Bucks County gaming hub for $12.5 million, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Purchased in February, the buildings at 3329 and 3331 Street Road in Bensalem are part of the Greenwood Square Corporate Center.

These late 1980s structures encompass a total of 106,575 square feet, with Two Greenwood Square housing four stories and 81,575 square feet, and Three Greenwood Square offering two stories and 25,000 square feet, previously fully occupied by Snipes USA Inc.

The acquisition, costing $117 per square foot, situates these properties adjacent to the 260,000-square-foot Parx Casino, and the 280,000-square-foot Parx East, home to Parx Racing.

The sale from Massachusetts-based Brookwood Financial did not include future redevelopment plans by Greenwood, which remains focused on maintaining current operations.

This purchase comes amidst other ambitious projects for Greenwood, including a proposed 13-story hotel on its existing land and a partnership in a major New York development project.
