Parx Casino Joins Philadelphia Union’s Roster of Corporate Partners

By

The Philadelphia Union has added Parx casino to its roster of corporate partners, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Financial terms of the sponsorship deal are being kept confidential.

Under the agreement, Bensalem-based Parx Casino will be the presenting partner of the halftime show on local broadcasts of Union games.

Parx street teams will also engage with fans in the Toyota Plaza at Talen Energy Stadium on game days to promote the casino’s app, explain the deposit match feature, and teach people 21 and older how to responsibly make bets.

“The partnership with Parx Casino is a huge accomplishment for this club,” said Jean-Paul Dardenne, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at the Philadelphia Union. “Not only are we bringing fans exciting and exclusive offers, but we are also one of the first [soccer] teams to announce this type of partnership and be at the forefront of sports gaming.”

The Union also recently signed marketing partnership deals with rum manufacturer Captain Morgan, Bucks County-based Steaz Healthy Beverage Co. and Recycle Track Systems of New York City.

The Union is averaging 16,609 fans per match, which ranks 17th in the 24-team league.
