Delaware County farmers markets have plenty to check out this spring.

With the warmer weather many of us may be hearing the call once again of a Delaware County farmers market and the fresh produce they provide.

Here in Delaware County and nearby, there are plenty of options for locally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables as well as fresh and meats and cheeses, home good and other handmade products, writes Ben Silver and Claire Chmiel for Main Line Today.

Booth’s Corner in Garnet Valley has been providing customers with Amish and local homemade and hand-picked products for over 50 years. The variety food and goods available from 80 vendors includes fresh produce, meats and cheeses, baked goods, jewelry, comic books, candles, crafts and so much more.

Media Farmers Market brings together area farmers, residents and businesses under the “Eat, Fresh , Buy Local” movement. All products are raised, grown or handmade by the vendors.

Oakmont Farmers Market in Havertown features locally grown food, including unique choices like fresh mushrooms from Forgedale Fungi, wine from Enol Vineyards,and fruit and jams from North Star Orchards.

Lancaster County Farmers Market in Wayne has been around for 80 years. Some favorite vendors include  Blue Rooster Gifts, Country Twist, Good Harvest Farms, and Mainline Marketplace.
