News that a “Mare of Easttown” return is happening through a sequel with scenes being shot in Ridley this past weekend has Delaware County residents pretty excited, writes Shawnette Wilson for Fox 29.

“Isn’t this so cool!” said one little girl.

Random Productions LLC, the company that made “Mare of Easttown,” was in Ridley Friday and Sunday, specifically at Our Lady of Peace School, filming scenes for “Task,” reported to be a sequel to “Mare of Easttown” that stars Mark Ruffalo.

County Savings Bank across the street from the film crews were notified last week that the production company would be in town. 

“So, we were waiting all morning and about 11 o’clock they rolled in. It is amazing to see what goes into something like this,” said Jean Juisti.

Her co-worker, Stephanie Hall, talked to one of the teamsters.

“We’ve kind of been like making awkward eye contact all day (Like put me in! Put me in!) Yeah. Like me? You want me? So, he said this has been a great location for them,” said Hall.

So far, there’s been no sign of Mark Ruffalo and no announcement yet whether Kate Winslet will return for the sequel.
