Christina Dalce is playing her best season so far for Villanova.

While everyone’s been paying attention to Lucy Olsen, who currently ranks sixth in the nation on the Villanova women’s basketball team this season, junior forward Christina Dalce has launched her own campaign, writes Finn Courtney of City of Love Basketball, as reported in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Dalce is averaging 8.6 points, 2.4 blocks and 10.1 rebounds. Those rebound stats are the best in the Big East, and she’s tied for 26th in the nation.

“Certainly depend on [her] a lot, [we] gotta outrebound them, and she’s in there each and every time,” said Villanova coach Denise Dillon about Dalce.

She’s looking for Dalce to continue to “grow and work and get better there in the paint, and good things will come to us.”

In a Saturday game against Butler, the Rutgers Prep grad showed off her well-rounded game, recording 10 rebounds and six blocks by halftime.

She finished the game with seven blocks, 14 rebounds, and seven points.

“She has the green light,” said Dillon. “It’s a big thing for her to create for herself and for others.” Find out more about Christina Dalce in The Philadelphia Inquirer
