BierHaul Farmhouse, a European lager house in Delaware County, is expanding its operations into Chester County with a new location that will feature an indoor beer garden, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The new space will be located in West Chester. Dubbed BierHaul Townhouse, the concept will take over the site that was previously home to the Split Rail Tavern, which recently closed.

BierHaul Townhouse is planning to hold a grand opening on March 7, after the renovations on the building are completed. The two-story restaurant will have bars on each floor along with an indoor beer garden on the second floor. The indoor garden will boast large communal bench tables surrounded by string lights and plants. The aim is to create an atmosphere that is reminiscent of the BierHaul Farmhouse.

The location will have indoor seating for around 200 people and outdoor seating from April through October.

“I’m trying to create an outdoor vibe inside,” said owner James Mullally, who is running the concept with his business partner Loic Barnieu.

The site will offer 22 beers on tap and a menu that is made up mostly of European-inspired comfort dishes.
