An In-Flight Moment With Villanova Crocheter Goes Viral on TikTok

By

Villanova crocheter Meegan Rubin kept a 5-month-old and the TikTok world entertained while on a flight to Mexico after she crocheted a hat for the baby, reports 6abc.

The Levine family, from Hoboken, New Jersey, was sitting next to Rubin. The family was concerned about how baby Romey would behave on her first flight as they traveled to Cabo San Lucas

But Romey watched intently while Rubin crocheted, inspiring the Villanova native to surprise the baby by crocheting a hat for her mid-flight.  She did it in one hour.

Passengers cheered when Romey put on the hat, which was a perfect fit.

“It was a nice moment, and it was nice that people appreciated it,” Rubin said.

A video recording of the event has gone viral, with over 7.5 million views on TikTok.

The Levines and Rubin feel blessed that their story was shared and brought joy to so many people because it’s a story about generosity and kindness.

Rubin describes herself as a beginner in crocheting, but with Romey as her “muse,” she’s now crocheting more items for the 5-month-old.
