West Chester University Welcomes Legendary Comedian Joe Conklin for Two Performances in January

West Chester University’s Criminal Justice Student Association (CJSA) brings legendary comedian, singer, and entertainer Joe Conklin with the City Rhythm Orchestra to West Chester University for two benefit performances on Saturday, Jan. 27, and Sunday, Jan. 28, both at 8 PM, in the Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre, Swope Music Building and Performing Arts Center at 817 S. High Street.

Tickets range from $65 – $80 and are available here.

A portion of ticket sales will go to the CJSA to offset expenses for student attendance at future regional, national, and international conferences and competitions. In March of 2024, the Criminal Justice Student Association will travel to England and Scotland.

This show is such a great time and filled with local flavor and heart. We invite students, parents, alumni, and members of the community to join us for what we know will be a fantastic show. Audience members will have a great time while also supporting our Criminal Justice students.”

Conklin is one of the most iconic voices in Philadelphia and has been a constant in Philadelphia radio for more than 30 years. Known for his spot-on impressions of Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, Barack Obama, Elizabeth Warren, Allen Iverson, and Charles Barkley, among others, Conklin is also one of the most sought-after corporate banquet speakers in the area. His stand-up comedy routine has been called, “Fearless, uncanny, and hilarious!”

Conklin is a 12-time AIR Award winner for Excellence in Broadcasting and his work has been recognized by the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards. He has worked with some of the nation’s most recognizable performers including Kevin Hart, Tim Allen, and Ray Romano. TV credits include NFL Films Presents, NBC Sports, Entertainment Tonight, NBA on TNT, ESPN: Baseball Tonight, Good Day Philadelphia, the Q Show, Comcast Sportsnet, Finder’s Keepers, America’s Funniest People, and more.

City Rhythm Orchestra has a distinct style and sound that has made it a top event band in the Philadelphia region and beyond for over 35 years. Led by Pete Spina and Nick Vallerio, the depth of the City Rhythm playlist is astounding – from Rhianna to Sinatra, City Rhythm’s range and versatility are unmatched. Performance credits include major music venues along the East Coast including the Kimmel Center, Mann Music Center, Atlantic City’s Trump Casino and Borgata, New York’s Lincoln Center and Highline Ballroom, Boston’s Faneuil Hall and Swing City, and other venues in Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Chicago, and many others including throughout Italy.
