If you were a tourist visiting historic downtowns in Pennsylvania, which Delaware County community would you spend your time in?

According to The Traveler, one of your top 10 destinations in Pennsylvania would have to be Media’s historic downtown.

The borough came in 9th on the magazine’s list of the ten best historic downtowns to visit in Pennsylvania.

Media’s historic downtown has Victorian-era architecture, a neoclassical County Courthouse, and a vintage theater, writes Brian Oseko for The Traveler.

“Once a pivotal location during the Civil War, Media exudes an ambiance that resonates with tales of resilience and transformation. Today, it stands as a vibrant hub where history meets modernity. This makes it an irresistible destination for travel enthusiasts,” Oseko writes.

He referenced the Delaware County Courthouse, a “striking example of neoclassical architecture that anchors the town square.”

He also mentioned Media’s boutiques and “eclectic eateries,”

Finally, the historic Media Theatre “adds a touch of nostalgia, hosting performances that transport audiences back in time.”

The best time to visit Media is in the Spring, and if you want to stay the night, it will cost you $60 and up to book a hotel room.
