Several top Delaware County schools are among the highest ranked in the region, according to Niche’s 2024 Best Schools in the Philadelphia Area.
Radnor Senior High School ranked no. 3 for best public high schools in the Philadelphia area. It was highly ranked for its 98 percent graduation rate and its student-to-teacher ratio of 13 to 1.
In the private school arena, The Haverford School ranked no. 17, with a student-to-teacher ratio of eight to 1 and a 100 percent graduation rate. The all-boys school is 139 years old and offers a vast curriculum.
The Grayson School in Radnor has only 180 students in Pre-K through 12, allowing for a small student-to-teacher ratio of four to 1. This school ranked no. 21 among the best private schools in the Philadelphia area. The school boasts of being the only independent, non-profit school in Pennsylvania.
Ithan Elementary School reigned as the number one best public elementary school in the Philadelphia area. The student-to-teacher ratio is 13 to 1 and has highly ranked academics. While it’s located in Bryn Mawr, it serves Radnor Township School District.
