This Recipe May Be 1 Reason Rosemary’s Is the Hottest Reservation in Delco
There’s one dish that Rosemary executive chef Elijah Milligan has to include on the Ridley Park restaurant’s menu, and it came from a simple request for some shrimp and pasta, writes Alicia Vitarelli for 6abc.
That dish is Rosemary’s Shrimp Mafaldine.
It’s the restaurant’s most popular dish, but it was actually just something Milligan whipped up one day with his daughter.
“And now we can’t take it off the menu,” he said. “People request it. People talk about it. It’s a popular dish.”
Here’s what makes it special.
- A fresh linguini noodle, a pappardelle or tagliatelle
- Gochujang, a Korean red pepper paste
- Sourced Calabria chiles.
- Garlic paste or puree
- Stems of some broccolini.
- Shrimp
- White wine
- Yuzu, an Asian citrus fruity
- Parsley
- Grana Padano or Parmigiano Reggiano
- Bread crumbs
Rosemary’s has been described as the hardest place in Delco right now to get a reservation.
“It is cool,” Milligan said. “Honestly, as a business, it’s cool to be busy.”
Rosemary’s been open since July 2023.
Milligan has compared the restaurant and Ridley Park to Yountville, a quaint town in Napa Valley that no one ever went to and is now considered one of the culinary destinations of the country.
