3 of the Region’s Top 25 Most Expensive Homes Sold Came From Delaware County

Three Delaware County properties made a Pennsylvania list of the 30 communities with the most expensive homes.

These days, the most expensive homes in the Greater Philadelphia region will cost multi-millions of dollars, writes Todd Romero for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Collectively, the 25 most expensive properties sold for $149.56 million. That’s a 38 percent jump in price over last year’s 25 most expensive homes sold in the same 7-month period.

The average sales price for the most expensive homes sold went from $4.32 million last year to $5.98 million this year.

Here in Delaware County, median home prices shot up 3.35 percent in the past seven months compared to the same time last year.

Median home prices went from $300,000 last year to $310,000 this year, according to Bright MLS.

Three Delaware County homes made a list of the top 25 most expensive homes sold in the region.

A home at 201 Highland Lane in Bryn Mawr ranked 18th highest in sales price, with the property selling May 5 for $4,450,000.

Delaware County also ranked 22nd when a home at 10 Tunbridge Road in Haverford sold for $4 million on March 1.

A property at 410 Orchard Way in Wayne also ranked 22nd out of 25 when it also sold for $4 million.
